For the love of plants

The Plant Lovers Day at Creake Abbey on the 25th May was a resounding success for all involved – there were plenty of people in attendance on a gloriously sunny day and the event had been brilliantly organised, as always, by the team at Creake Abbey.  Proceeds from the day were gratefully received by the Wells Community Hospital Trust, who we work closely with and our pilot outreach programme with the Trust starts on the 25th June. This will run on alternate weeks, providing group work over a 42 week period – helping four adults living with mental ill health – and we are very much hoping this will be successful so we can run it as an ongoing, sustainable programme.  The feedback given to us at the Plant Lovers Day reiterated how important support is for those who struggle, hearing first hand how mental health has impacted people and families first hand, in some cases to devastating effect. What underpins The Nurture Project is providing an impartial and safe place for adults to improve their mental and physical wellbeing, in a friendly and structured environment, through horticultural therapy.  If you would like any further information, please feel free to get in touch through the Contact page on this website, thank you.
